I both narrate and produce audio work. Or perhaps more accurately, I read/narrate, and my partner, Rud Habermann does the production magic.
We have a professional recording studio, fully equipped for recording musicians and voice audio. We use ProTools, a soundproof recording studio, professional microphones and a rather impressive array of technical things with lots of buttons that I do not understand. I have done a great deal of audio work over the years, including regular narration, e-learning, training course/powerpoint audio, audiobooks, hypnosis, meditation and an assortment of other things.
I have many projects that have been completed for private clients, and I also have over 200 titles on Audible, mainly hypnosis tracks. You can find my hypnosis work on Audible by searching for “Hypnosis Live” – I narrated their titles. Hypnosis and meditation in particular require very different handling from regular audio, both writing and audio. Expert experience in the right rhythm, cadence and tone can make or break this type of audio.
I love narrating fiction, and would really like to do more of it, but I will pretty much read anything. I am happy to narrate explicit or sexual content, or serious subjects such as financial or medical texts. Ideally, I like to narrate things that allow me to put my lively personality across, but equally I understand that what the client wants, they get, and what my own preferences are always secondary to this.
