It is almost impossible to publish a detailed rate card to make life easier for you in costing your project, but my rates (like most audio industry professional rates/fees) are based on a set of principles.
- Every project is different. Therefore any “standard” rate I quote may not apply to your project, which may be simpler than average, or more time-consuming.
- My starting fee for any work is US$250 or £200 per finished hour (PFH) and rises from there depending on the nature of the project. It is not possible to simply pro-rata your project, so a 30 minute audio may cost more than half the per finished hour rate. This is because I still have to do some preparation, set up and administration work, regardless of the length of the audio.
- I both produce and narrate. Where full production to publication is required, I charge US$ 400-600 PFH. Where I am required only to narrate (and you handle mastering/production your end), the fee is US$ 250-350 PFH.
- As a benchmark, I quote in US Dollars to clients around the world, and in Pounds Sterling to my domestic UK clients, but I am happy to accept and provide a quote in a range of other major currencies.
The recording studio is available for hire, whether for voice work or music. We can supply your audio raw, or fully mastered/produced. As every project is different and thus involves differing step of kit and input from Rud, please get in touch for a bespoke price.
